Sky Zone Omaha + Giveaways

There’s a new place to go in Omaha that’s fun for the entire family and provides a great workout.

Sky Zone opened in West Omaha earlier this month. The indoor trampoline park housed in a former warehouse is an easy way to keep a family active.

All you really do is have to jump. Fun music is piped throughout lending to the fun atmosphere.

What to expect

When you show up, you’ll have to stop at the waiver station to electronically fill out a waiver form for your entire party. You can save yourself time and do it online before you come, though.

Then you head over to select the amount of time you’ll be jumping and to purchase special socks for the trampolines ($2). They’re required, and pretty snazzy.

Save your socks and bring them next time.

Before you can begin, you’ll be explained all the rules – If you don’t think you can do a flip, don’t try it here; one person per trampoline; all the special rules for the foam pit; etc. Size separation is a big thing there, so no worries about your wee one getting launched 10 feet into the air by some giant.

Rules are enforced and it creates an environment of safety, which is nice if you’re like me, expecting every trampoline outing to end up with an injury to cringe at on “America’s Funniest Home Videos.”

Then go jump! There are six courts at Sky Zone: A slam dunk court; one just for 5 and under (which means, Mom and Dad, you stand on the side and don’t jump; two large courts for open jumping; a dodgeball court; and a foam pit you can launch yourself into.

How young of kids can you take?

Sky Zone does have offer toddler jump called Toddler Time , so youngsters are welcome. I went with a nearly 3-year-old and a 4 ½-year-old. Both kids had a lot of fun.

The most popular court was the foam pit for them, though they didn’t quite get the concept of launching themselves into the pit.

The Foam Zone has about 10,000 cubes of foam.

The grown ups did, and you can bet we took ridiculous pictures of ourselves flying through the air.

Dodgeball was probably the least fun just because they didn’t get it. You go here with a big group of big kids or your friends, I think it’d be the most fun place to jump.

How long can you jump?

That’s up to you. We opted for a half-hour and with two young kids, that was enough. You can select more time, of course.

Jump around. Jump around. Jump around. Jump up, jump up and get down.

What can we eat there?

I’ll state the obvious, you don’t want to eat before you jump. However, afterward, you may want a snack, so they do have a concession stand of treats like candy and fruit snacks, as well as an assortment of beverages. Hot dogs are planned.
